Dalaman Airport, located only 5.5 kilometers south of the town center, is an international airport and one of three serving south-west Turkey, the others being Milas-Bodrum Airport and Antalya Airport. It has two terminals the old terminal is used for domestic flights and the new terminal is for international flights. The airport serves the surrounding tourist areas and environs of Dalaman. Flights are available to and from over 120 destinations, across the rest of Turkey, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. The airport receives domestic flights from Istanbul daily. The new Dalaman International Terminal has 12 boarding gates, 8 with covered air bridges. The apron was also re-designed, increasing space for remote stands. Consequently, the airport has capacity to handle up to 35 flights at any one time. In total, the terminal has a floor space of 95,000m2. Dalaman Airport International Terminal, having a capacity of annual 10 million passengers, may easily render service to 4.000 passengers and 5.000 baggages per hour thanks to 60 Check-In counters. Dalaman International Terminal has been awarded the Quality Certificate, the Environment Certificate, the Food Safety Certificate and the Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. The airport has also received praise for its environmentally conscious design, especially the use of natural lighting in its main hall. The new international terminal of Dalaman Airport has a full range of facilities; this includes fast food outlets, duty free, bars and cafés, as well as a 24hr medical centre and two banks. The airport also claims to have the world’s first duty-free outlet store in the departure lounge. Travelers can rent a car at Car Rental Company at Dalaman airport. Car rental Parking facilities are available for up to 550 vehicles outside the terminal building.
